Here's the deal...

I'm logged in into a DNN portal ( 4.5.5. ), so I do have my own open session.  At the same time with me, from another machine, somebody else can login into the same session ( using my credentials  - tried it, it works).

Let's say that I'm accessing a page which is available only to subscribers ( on a pay per access rule ).  If I'm giving my credentials to another "user" , he will be able to access that page simultaneous with me.

Is there a way to prevent that?  I mean to have only one login available per user/per session?

Not with the current architecture. You can try and implement custom solution to it, but be aware of some inherent problems (like if you close browser and try to log back in, you might be blocked off...) May be recording an IP of a logged in person and comparing it to another user's IP with the same login credentials...

Thanks for your answer...

This is not good though.  I think there might be a security issue somewhere.  I thought that as soon as a user is logged in, DNN  will prevent another user to login with the same credentials, as soon as that user is still logged in.

I don't even want to think about what it can happen with payed membership on some sites....

I'm absolutely sure that somebody thought about this and solved this problem.....
