Hi

I just downloaded DNN 4.7, and opened up the vs 2008 solution. Everything compiled well.
However, when I set the website to compile against .net 3.5, I got tons of errors.

Is this normal and known to happen? Or should eveything build just as well or are there any plans when this will be OK?

Thanks

  • are you getting errors or warnings?
  • did you check all references to be in place?

Considering VS2008 and .NET 3.5 haven't officially been released yet and both are considered beta currently, you shoud wait until there is an official DNN release targeted for that setup if you're not prepared to fix the issues yourself.

The Core Team will release a version of DNN that is VS08 and .NET 3.5 compatible when both products are actually released (or shortly thereafter).

As Ed mentioned above there will most likely be a DNN specific release for .NET 3.5.  Now I do know of individuals that have compiled it successfully though I believe, I would check to ensure that all of your references exist in the proper manner.
