Snowcovered lists a zillion versions of the YandeStore for sale (at various prices for some reason) and I am wondering if anyone is using the $60 version 5.8 module.  We don't have a lot of products, and we use paypal for our payments, but we need attributes.  Wish alicommerce had attributes, but they are nto there yet.  Anyone have opinions about the Yande products?

Hi ,  Yes I just purchased 5.8 for $60.  I am impressed with the product, it is straightorward and easy to use with a nice look to it.  Both for the customer and for me setting it up.  I am in the same situation as you.  I use PayPal also and need only a small size store. I have checked through the different stores out there on DNN and SNowcovered and This is the best I found for what I need. The two main players are Catalook and Portal Store and both don't seem to have an appealing interface for the client, even though they seem to be packed with features.  There is aslo SDN and KodHeadz but both look very poor, I tried to instal the sample KodHeadz and it caused errors on my site. SDN has video intro's on their site, but I couldn't get them to play, and both of these had very poor graphic design. I chose Yande Store because of it's visual appeal and PayPal integration. I was also impressed to see that it will accomodate Canadian provinces and or tax system. It has a nice layout and professional looking and easy to use buttons.  In the end the store has to look nice and this one does

On the negative there doesn't seem to be any documentation at all whatsoever, not on their site or in the download.  Also I have run into a runtime error with the tax calculation, that I am hoping can be corrected.  I would also like to make some modifications and it is not clear what information is passed to paypal. I would like my clients not to enter in information twice, and their checkout system asks for credit card info as well as an address, I'l like that to get passed to paypal or entered once on the paypal site, but I am not sure if it will so this. It seams to be lacking some detailed specifications for the checkout process.  Then again it might be there but I don't have any documentation to show me where. If I didn't have experience with uploading modules this one would be very frustrating.  They offer no direction of what to do and I guess assume you will figure it out?

With all of that said,  It is the most visually appealing for the price, and so far easy to set up and easy for the client to use.  With some documentation this one would be a winner over the others in this price range.

If you would like to see my store when it is completed, or sooner let me know.

Don't waste your time or money on it- it is poorly written and it is full of errors, it adds extra zeros to the price in the cart. There is no way to change the cart templates. I bought it and I hate it.

I just bought it and HATE it too.  So much so, within 1-1/2 hours I requested a refund....  FLAT-OUT denied!  To quote them, "...our manager said you can not get refound (sic),because we don't provide refound (sic)service."  It would not install for me... giving me errors in my DNN 4,8, but not actually saying 'what' was wrong.  I never did get to actually try it.

They did send me a "NewInstall.ZIP" file, but it too installs with errors.  This one at least 'worked', but on certain screens, or certain setting pages, it would 'crash' (no error message), log me off my own site, and return me to the User Logon screen.

As Ted Cooke noted, there is absolutely NO documentation with this (get what you pay for) and even though I am a seasoned software developer, geek, propeller-head, and growing to be a DNN geek too....  I couldn't get it to work on my site.

I've not used yanderstore, but you could try NB_Store.  Documentation is still a bit lacking, but it's open source and free so there no real risk apart from your time.

You can find it on codeplex http://nbstore.codeplex.com (or look at the DNN Forge)
