please upgrade to at least dnn 4.5.5 prior to deploying.

can you explain what you mean with deploying? Move from a dev env to a live environment?

all you need to do is copy all your files and copy the db. There are a few nacks though, the most important one is that you need to add the url of the new location to the list of portal aliasses prior to moving the installation (log on as host, go to site settings, scroll to bottom)

Hi, Thanks for the response, After completing the development part, i have published the web into one folder(let me say PreCompiled), this published folder(PreCompiled) contains all files and folders like desktopmodules, app_code, bin and files like web.config etc, then i copied this entire folder(PreCompiled) into another server, then i created the virtual directory for this folder(PreCompiled), next is i created the fresh database(in sql 2005) and pointed my web.config file to point to this database, when i run the default.aspx file it started with dnn installation, it installed successfully, finally i got the web page which shows 'Return to your Site', when i click on this link i am getting the error 'DotNetNuke Version:- Error 04.05.03', can you help me again in solving this, waiting for reply.....
