I'm normally a Joomla/LAMP user, but since my hosting company doesn't offer this on Windows, I thought I'd give DNN a try.

My questions for anyone kind enough to answer them.

1. Does DNN support logical groups of users?

2. Anyone know of a good (I've seen NukeTransfer, but no answer from them yet...) secure file sharing module, that has the following functionality:

    a. Email to user when file is uploaded and assigned.

    b. Logical groups of users.

We currently have a klunky CFM secure file sharing portal for clients, but I'd like to get our site away from stale static content and into the 20th Century of CMS and Web 2.0 technology.

TIA!!!!

1. DNN supports "role" which you can create and group users by.

2. You might check out Document Exchange from http://www.bring2mind.net/ it is one of the most elaborate document modules available.

John:

Sorry, DNN will not satisfy your requirements, DNN will only work for those that wish to implement technologies from the 21st century (and beyond)...

Thanks for that, Carlos. I knew I'd be held to higher standards when deploying on an M$ platform.
