Hello - please help...with regard to Godaddy installations and more.

1. Installed to defaults on Godaddy - gave me www.hollywoodpokerschool.com/dotnetnuke

2. Presently see the site - I used MS Expression to the build the site.

3. There are numerous (COSTLY) 3rd party applications such as www.1shoppingcart.com and www.amember.com  which have all this stuff which allows you to create/build services and sites....BUT DNN seems to all the same - maybe BETTER - but I can not get this far. These wonderfully expensive software cost money - to the $99.00 a month.

4.Presently I want to make site such that first level front pages (off the navigation) are public but to go to second level pages and other website data - once needs to sign on as member....more what happens to members after they sign on....

OBSTACLE NUMBER ONE

DNN was installed into subdirectory - and so how does one use the application so it looks/appears as part of www.hollywoodpokerschool.com ------ two if not nevertheless how does one navigate through all this without it feeling like mental-spaghetti - thank you...there is more but until I get past stage one - I am so lost it's not funny.

OBSTACLE TWO

Are there free books/documents which explain all these issues.

Thank you,

John

Obstacle One:  You don't.  DNN is installed to a subfolder in GoDaddy, so you get the folder name.  But it's not an nissue because DNN handles it all for you.  Stop using Expression Web, just login to DNN to manage it.  DNN produces all the navigation automatically.

Obstacle Two:  No free books, but of course you did download the documentation and read it, correct?  And you looked at the Help, right?  And you did the walkthroughs posted on various sites, Googled for help you needed or read these forums, naturally.
