It was the context with 'pigeon English' that painted the full picture. However, I'm happy with the intent of the explanation, so no problems here.

I am offended that no vegetarians reacted to the "Where's the beef?" reference.

Having spent a couple of months in France not too long ago I now have a totally new understanding for other languages.  Talk about feeling lost and frustrated!

On the other hand how does Rob know that the original poster isn't just a total DNN newb and didn't have a clue how big or diverse these forums are?  Maybe he thought they were all American posters who needed a lecture on grammer?  That arguement doesn't go very far either though as the way I look at it - any answer is good if it is free - especially if the poster is willing to explain themselves.

Therefore, bonus points to whoever can answer a post in all commercial catchphrases!!!!

Ok, everybody. Let's forget about all the Charlie or pigeon English stuff. Let's focus on "the problem with the forum".

If you're a native English speaker and not making your effort to ask a question with furnished documentation, then you should change. But since DNN is an open-source framework that serves the global community (not just native English speaker), all users should have their rights to voice their opinions or get involved without having the language barrier.

If we all want the forum to have good English, aren't you implying non-English speakers should learn how to write before even learn DotNetNuke?

Isn't our goal is to spread the word for DotNetNuke? If we're all making fun of people that couldn't get their sentence straight because of their English in the forum, then I think many foreigners are not welcome here in the forum. Please think about it.
