Just an idea, as i think that there are a lot of admins running DNN for non-profite-associations like i do. These clubs are having most of the times one thing in common: no money, especially for "upgrading" the web-presentation.

Therefore i thought it might help a little bit (as time saver) to split the Announce-It Section in a Freebee and a commercial part. So everyone knows at once what to expect.

Most of the free modules i've tested so far are great and useful, but you should be clear not to have such a good support like you have with modules for 50 $ or more. Pretty understandable, isn't it?
On the other hand, there are some companies earning money with their brilliant modules and they are worth the money. OK, there are also some modules and skins where i would not ask for more then 5 $ as it is more then awkward what they bring for the money. But this is another chapter.....

Your opinion?

I like the suggestion!  My only fear is that if the team started making sub forums like that it could quickly get out of hand.  I know that there is the DNN Forge section of the site where you can find open source and free modules.  Maybe what the team could do is add a forum for the DNN Forge.  It could be in the general forums page or on the forge page (or both).  What do you think of that idea?

Good Idea, but it could be that not all free modules are listed in the Forge-Section due to several reasons.

But an additional Forum section only for freebees (modules and skins) could be helpful. Here should also things be posted, which are listed on Forge.

And you are right, opening subforums in sections in forums.....uh...could lead into getting totally lost.
