I know you are not impressed with this, and I am not either, but have you tried using the install folder in DNN?  It is great when when you want to install a lot of stuff.  If it works like it did in 4x versions, upload your skins into the install/skin folder and you containers into the install/container folder and then go the the url of your site with /install/Install.aspx?mode=InstallResources (http://mydnnsite.ca/install/Install.aspx?mode=InstallResources).  You would have all 80 of your skins installed with no clicks and just a bit of typing.

 

I tried it for the containers and it gave status: Error! on each one.

@Salama: You seem to have an execptional use case, but that being said: you could first install all you skins in 4.9 and then upgrade to 5.0. Of course this only works if they are in a single install.

I look forward to your skin batch installer, I hope you place it on codeplex so the whole community could benefit from it.

Mike Cox mentioned the built batch installer which I wasn't aware of. However it gives an error for all the skins. I am going to go through DNN's code and find out why it's erroring. These skins install fine from the host skin installer so I know the problem is not the skin itself.
