We have a strange message at our hosted site -
"DotNetNuke Upgrade Error
The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] ) ERROR: Could not connect to database. SQL Server does not exist or access denied."
Our hosting site (GoDaddy.com) does not provide DNN tech support and their only advice is to uninstall and reinstall the DNN App through their Control Panel...but they recommend backing up the site before we do that.
For the life of me I can't find anything that addresses how to backup the DNN site, and I don't want to lose all the work we've done. Can anyone provide help SOON with backup procedures? Thanks...

I am not familiar with how GoDaddy is setup, but on my host (WebHost4Life), I simply backup the db, and download it and all the app files to my local drive for archiving.

I had the same issue with what your talking about. I finally got connection after about 3 re-installs of the DNN. One thinkg that sucks with godaddy is the file structures for the DNN are not viewable in any way.  The only backup module that I have seen that will work on DNN 4 is at that snowcovered  and they want too much.money.

I switched to websecurestores and have full access for the same amount and simply grab my files and copy them to my harddrive the manual way.

May be this post is outdated, but I think our module is very accessible (low budget): http://www.evotiva.com/Modules/BackupScript/tabid/57/Default.aspx
