Hi, pretty new DNN user here, been playing with it for almost 2 weeks now (new to VB too so it's been fun  )

Anyway, I made a small addition to the Admin SQL query tool; the ability to save and load "canned" queires.  It has been a nice feature for my site reports and I think others might find it useful too.

Is this something which might be considered for addition to the core release (I'm using 4.02)?  Just trying to return the love!

Hello, you can record any enhancement requests at the public issuelog @ http://support.dotnetnuke.com/project/Project.aspx?PROJID=23 . Please note, though we welcome any and all offers of help, it can be difficult for us to accept code, as we need to ensure that DNN is indemnified against adding code that may have come from an unwilling source. I'm not suggesting you or anyone have done this, but every code contributor on the coreteam has signed forms indicating their responsibility for any code they submit, so the project as a whole is protected (i.e. we don't want to end up with the situation Linux finds themselves in with SCO).

Yikes, sounds like more trouble than it's worth.  I guess I really don't know what open source means, oh well!

If anyone wants the source to this handy utility, you can SCO it from me via email

i know, it's a pity, but we have a responsibility to protect the interests of all dotnetnuke users, even though the process can slow the rate at which we can roll out new additions (note: fixes are a different matter - if you are pointing us out an error in our code we can use that without issue, and welcome it.). Often in this situation the best thing to do is to create a new module, that's a copy of the existing code, and add your extensions to it and release it as a free module . That way at least people can share in your contributions. It's a good way to get noticed by the community, which is often a first step towards greater involvment in DNN (see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/DotNetNukeProjects/tabid/824/Default.aspx)
