I have added several ads using the vendors system, and placed the banner module on a page. When pressing the banner, it doesnt go to the URL I mentioned but do a refrash of the page. The banners do work when they are implemented in a skin object.
Why is that ?

Have you set them up properly? I know this is may appear to be an obvious question but when you set the ads up you need to put the URL in the right place.  I have been using them successfully on my site but I do remember on one instance, they simply refreshed the page but I did manage to get it right at some time.

What version of DNN are you using? I thought I heard somewhere there might be bug, but since I managed to get it working, I thought it might be one of those DotNetNuke urban myths.

Hi Nina
Thank you for trying to help - I posted this issue and several others on the DNN forums of asp.net and got no answer. I think I am going to move to these forums.

Anyway, I am using DNN 3.2.2. The banners do work when used as skin objects so they must be set right.
The strange thing I dont understand it that the banner module is suppose to be a core module, but it doesnt come with the installation of DNN 3.2.2. The module is probably a leftover from an old installation (DNN 3.1.1 or something). I tried to find where can I download this module and see if there is an upgrade to it, but couldnt find where is the source of it.

Any idea ?

Lior

Banners is a core module!
But this doesn't live within the DesktopModules folder nor you have to download it separatedly. It's intergrated into dnn core.
You will find the source on \admin\vendors\DisplayBanners.ascx

Did you find a solution to this as I have the same problem.  Can't get the banner link to work at all.

Thanks

Liz
