Hi sorry if I'm in the wrong section but I couldn't seem to make a new thread in the other section so I made it here.

I would just like to know if Dotnetnuke is robust enough to withstand heavy traffic? Any stats if possible? It's for an assignment at my school

Thanks to anyone who replies.

DotNetNuke, is stable, and robust to use it also on large portals and websites.  Dotnetnuke supports in its Professional Edition also the use on WebFarms.  The stability and performance is also dependent to the Hardware of the web- and SQL- server/s.

I agree with Matthias, hardware and server config play a large part in a successful high-volume site. I'm not certain what kind of numbers your looking for but I have several larger sites, one doing about 9 million hits a month without issue. This site sits on  2 web heads and has redundant SQL servers.

9 million hits a month is an impressive amount of traffic.  Good to hear that DotNetNuke holds up under that kind of load.

I work with scanpst.exe and pst repair tools.

DNN is also one of the few systems to dogfood their system on their own site, much to the consternation of many of us at times. Simply it means that when a new version is near release, the main DotNetNuke.com site is updated and tested in a live environment here before it is released to the community. It's an impressive amount of 'put-your-money-where-your-mouth-is'  but can be frustrating for everyone (twice as much or more for the developers) when things don't go smoothly.

However, more on topic, like was stated earlier in the thread most of the performance and stability of DNN (and really, any platform) is dependent on proper server and SQL setup.
