When I browse pages of  www.dotnetnuke.com using IE 6+ it makes me ANNOYED. Why? Say I clicked the forum link and say it takes 3 seconds to load the forum page. During this time I click other IE window "X". When I come back to DDN page after 2 seconds(means DDN forum is not completely loaded yet) the IE DDN window is cramped. It shows the "X" window on over DDN window until the forum page is fully loaded.

Surprisingly the Showcase sites of DDN do not have this problem. So what is wrong with www.dotnetnuke.com ?

As I post this there are currently 860 people on line most probably 95%+ reading the forums.  Things are quick and speedy for me.  There is a little delay when I check the box to mark all as read but other than that there isn't much of a slow down.

They are also probably still working out tweaking the proformance.  I read somewhere that the site is now running on several servers.  You could have also just run across a time where the route between you and the DNN host was slow.

I'm betting that none of the showcase sites that you visited have quite the site activity that this site does either. So that will make a difference also.

Cheers,

Paul Davis

I thought this is DDN version or VB issue. This thing is very annoying. The DDN IE window not only shows previously browsed window overlapping the DDN page, but also shows any immidiate previous windows program I viewed before DDN page is loaded fully.

I hope DDN team will try to fix the prob in DDN home site so that others won't complain on this issue.

...IE window not only shows previously browsed window overlapping...

That sounds more like a browser issue than a DotNetNuke issue.
