BACKGROUND

I have a potential DNN implementation for a school that has twelve (12) sub departments and up to three hundred (300) potential users within each department. Although these 12 x 300 = 3600 users will be allowed to use a form of the "ADD PAGE" template to successfully ADD a new page to the DNN site, that new page will be considered a standalone, unattached (i.e., a "floating") page until one or more of the 12 sub department administrators decide to create a link to it (and one or more of the 12 may end up doing so).

Note: the "floater" page would be added to the DNN database (and thus would be subsequently somehow retrieveable and editable by that original user) yet the page would not be part of any "official" DNN site map - that would not happen until one or more of the 12 departmental admins decide to set up a hyperlink to it. However, the original user can go back in and modify the page, and ideally that page has a unique URL that is directly reachable by the outside world - it just is not yet linked by the mainstream DNN structure yet. In fact, every one of the 12 x 300 = 3600 users should be able to display a list of all of their own "floater" pages.

EXAMPLE: suppose one of the 12 x 300 = 3600 users is running a bake sale for the soccer team. That user would need to be able to create a "floater" page describing the bake sale via a customized "ADD PAGE" template - and at the same time be presented a checkbox-able list of the twelve departments that might want to set up a link to that bake sale notice. The bake sale notice user would (on the "ADD PAGE" templage) check off the departments that the bake sale may be of interest to (such as the Athletics Department and the Alumi Office) who will then be notified somehow that this "floater" page exists that they may be interested in (i.e., somehow, when those 12 departmental admins logged in, I would like to present them with a queue of pending "floaters" that were targeted for them, and these admins would then be able to add a DNN hyperlink to that heretofore "floating" DNN page.

Thus, my questions are as follows:

1. How can I set up this ability to add a "floater" page which is retrievable by the original user but not part of the "official" DNN site until one of the 12 administrators links to it?

2. How can I present to each user a list of their "floater" pages (both those that are still "floaters" and those that have been linked to the official DNN site by one or more of the 12 departmental adminstrators?

3. How can I present to each of the 12 departmental adminstrators a list of all "floaters" that have been "sent" to them for possible linking into their department of the DNN structure?

All suggestions greatly appreciated - subcontractors proposals welcomed.
