Although my ContentDejour module available in the DNN Forge (http://www.codeplex.com/contentdejour/) is primarily designed to rotate html content based on specific Date/Time criteria (such as different content for each day of the week, certain days of the month) or a single user Profile Property, it will also display its multiple content items either randomly, sequentially, etc each time the page refreshes. For such use, set all content items to show on all days of the week (or month or year) and the Multiple Item Handling to either random or sequential.

 Hi Ismet

I would recommend the Gumbosoft rotator as they make some very nice, useful modules.

One of the big issues with these things is admins often forget to take down old content so a means to set a date range is a good feature.
Another common need is for content that will be used again later in the year so the ability to take an item offline but retain in the listing is good to have too.
The Gumbosoft module has these features and also allows you to rotate other modules too which can be shown with your own html.

I tried 3 modules. The Gumbosoft was the best one by far but I ended up having to use the not nearly so good as the client wanted a left to right fade transition and with the Gumbosoft module this was a bit jerky in some browsers.

Cannot see a trial version for either of these.

In my case both of these are being retired early next year as we have found that its not enough to tell people just once so we intend to use the smoke ranch banner ad system to do essentially the same job but on more than one page and all managed from a central location.

It depends on what you want to rotate.

I have the Gumbosoft rotator and use it frequently. There are other options too:

  1. The DNNSpot Rotator has the best timing features.
  2. If you're running DNN 5.2 you can use the Telerik RAD rotator - just download the DNN trial modules from Telerik
  3. You can build your own using jquery or integrate jquery rotator with other modules such as Ventrian's News Articles

Ian-

Using SmokeRanch to manage news/featured rotations is a good idea. But I think News Articles will do something similar and be much more customizable for you. There is an "Article Flow" enhancement feature in the works that will allow you to set it up so that an article will flow from one module/page to another based on # of days old the article is. Even without that feature you have a lot of options to manage articles in News Articles.  An "Article" can pretty much be anything you want it to be - a picture, a video, an ad banner, a news story, etc.

Thanks for great suggestions, now i am getting help from an expert from Ventrian forums, so i think we will customize News Articles with custom fields and jquery to achive the desired goal.

I will experiment Rad Rotator, however 5.2.0 has some problems with Cache. Once i will finish my priority tasks, i will test it then let go.
