It's nice that the latest source is on Codeplex. I downloded it today my goal was to look at it an also look at the test projects and some other things.

I tryed to build it but there was tons of errors. I understand that errors could/should occure but it was far more than expected. Projects code was not included some "basic" info like TabId was not declared, the latest 5.2.3 sqlddataprovider was not included just to take some examples.

My question is. What is latest source, is it the latest that Corp are testing just now or is it something ells. What should I expect?

Jan,

Thanks for pointing this out.  I suspect that we may need to do some more tweaking to the synchronization task to ensure that the latest source in codeplex is the same as our source in the Fortress.  We are working on some updates to the script to try and capture checkin comments as well so we'll add this as one more element to be looked at.

Is it expected to be compile errors free every time?

As indicated in my blog DotNetNuke Moves to an Open Repository, the code is not guaranteed to compile or to execute properly.  Right now our goal is to provide an exact duplicate of the code that is checked into our version control system.  There was an issue in our original synchronization scripts which resulted in the issues that Jan mentioned previously.  Those issues were fixed over the weekend and now the CodePlex repository should fully match our internal codebase and as of the latest checkin's should be compiling without error.
