Please accept my apologies as I said I wouldn't post in your thread again but you really didn't give me much of an option.
Thank you for the excellent education on the term troll. I've been around the net since the beginning and before that I was involved with things called Bulletin Board Systems (1983 Atari 130xe - grin). And in all that time I've never heard the term troll. In an attempt to further my education I just visited several sites and the Wikipedia
entry on the subject taught me that:
"A
troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community with the primary intent of provoking other users into a emotional response"
Judging from the number of emotional responses from several different community members in this thread I would say the author of the original post could be considered a troll. Hey, I might not be an MIT grad and I am old but I do learn fast!
With regards to my comment on Joe's blog - I understand that humor can be a foreign concept to some folks. You might also want to take a look at my post in
this thread that was written the same day as my blog comment.
I don't foresee a future for you in sales & marketing so if THE yala "should" not realize the type of profits you had hoped might I suggest a career in politics? With the amount and quality of smoke and mirrors you are able to produce I predict that you would go far in this field.
