Ive been using DNN for about 4 years now (and previously to that, the ibuyspy portal) and wanted to thank all the regulars on the forums who help dinks like me out from day to day. Im sure I would have given up and left DNN to the coding nerds a long time ago if it wasnt for the help of all the knowledgable people on here...

So, thank you.

you're welcome - don't forget we were all newbies at one point and most of us stuck around as we were helped by other individuals as well. I've always felt a lot of our success comes from the community being respectul and helpful (and the efforts we put in to ensure that trolls and spammers don't spoil it for the great majority), so that new (or not so new) users can ask questions without fear and often get great help.

This praise is good to hear and encouraging to someone like myself just getting started with asp.net.   Coming from a PHP / SQL background so I'm ramping up for the learning curve.

Welcome Jim! Theres a ton of resources available for new users to DotNetNuke, but it can take a while to locate them.  I'd recommend you take a look at the getting started page on the wiki - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W... , it helps you get to useful resources quickly.

Thanks,
Cathal
