I downloaded what I thougth was the symbol files for v.5.06 here http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/releases/view/55790#DownloadId=167720 but once I installed it i discovered they were for v.5.05. Should the community symbol files work with professional or are there separate symbol files I could download? I cant seem to find them...

The symbol files package for 05.06.00 has a bug in that they weren't properly packaged.  To install that version, you just need to extract the contents of the resource.zip into your /bin directory.  As far as I am aware the actual PDBs are the correct version for 5.6.0.  The symbol files for CE should work with PE since the core code is exactly the same.
