I just received an e-mail advertising for DNN Creative Magazine.  Has anyone subscribed to this before?  I am wondering what others think of this publication before I consider getting a subscription myself.  Some questions I have are:
  1. What level of DNN user does it mostly apply to?
  2. What kind of articles are typically found in it?
  3. Is it mostly advertisements?
  4. Are there resources listed there that are normally not easily found on the web?
  5. How helpful has this publication been to you?
I am not some insider who is trying to push the magazine.  I am just tired of subscribing to publications online only to find that it is not really the resource I am looking for or find out that my money was better spent elsewhere.  It is easier when I can find the magazine in a store and buy a sample to thumb through.

I would greatly appreciate any input that anyone has on this topic.  Also, if there is another magazine out there I would be interested in knowing about it.  I already have the Wrox book for DNN3.x.  I cannot wait for the DNN 4.x book!

Hello

I am not a subscriber (yet) - but I am frequently impressed with the amount of information on DNNCreative. Things like RSS feed info and Skinning tips - obscure info you have to hunt for on Forums - have been compiled into useful categories... bear in mind that this is just the free stuff on the website (just had to register to download) - so I would imagine the subscription deal would have even more useful info. From what I can see it is aimed mainly at beginners and intermediate users - but some of the stuff (RSS XSLTs) I used was more complicated than average (and hence was impressed!)

I have been a subscriber for a little over a month, and I highly, highly recommend it. I have not found a better resource for DotNetNuke. Honestly, he should charge more for it!

Are you only a subscriber to their site, or their magazine also?  I am extremely picky when I consider paying to subscribe to a web site.  It never has seemed to be worth the money yet.  However, perhaps this site might be different.  :)

I am also a subscriber to the magazine. I have no connection to the owner of the website, although I did leave a testimonial in their forum.
