I have found a bug with the DNN implementation of the Telerik grid column controls. I have previously reported the bug and provided a fix but since then I have found a better solution that is more generalized and handles all issues relating to the header text for grid columns.

 Looking at the list of components in the community issue tracker I cannot find a good component that this issues falls under. The components I saw were UI/Usability, which I do not think it falls under as the issue is not with the UI of DNN, or Telerik . Can anyone think of a better component to list this bug under?

 Also, since the previous issue will become irrelevant, how can I delete or close the issue?

hello, typically you would add this under the "telerik" component - i notice your existing issue is still in place - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=17551&PROJID=2 I would suggest you edit it and provide your alternative fix there, rather than create a new one as that will result in the other simply being closed as a duplicate.

Thanks Cathal. The issue has been updated, I just hope my amendment is seen before a fix is implemented.
