Do you know the CMS software DNN doesn't allow you to create any type of files having extensions other than aspx. This issue prevents us to create a robots.txt file within the website running on this CMS software Dot Net Nuke. Have you anyone come across this issue and successfully overcome it. I am also the one linedup in the queue who is not able to create a robots.txt file in the root directory of my website http://www.touchstarccs.co.uk

you can create a robots.txt file and place it in the root of the site and it will be found by search engines - however if you are running multiple portals this is an issue as the search engine will not know they are seperate sites - hence why we have sitemap provider support http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Sitemap_Providers.aspx
