How I can replace the default DNN text editor provider with the TinyMCE in DNN 7.4.2 version?

Finally somebody else wants this other than me! I'm not sure about your question specifically, but I posted it as an idea on Voice. It needs more votes.

The basic answer is simple. Create/obtain an Editor Provider that supports TinyMCE. Configure DNN to use that provider.

Assuming no-one has done that already you will need programming skills. I presume the existing editor provider will give a pattern as to how to do this. I have no idea how big a job it is.

Try asking the maintainers of TinyMCE if they want to support DNN.

Best wishes,

There is a provider that existed in ancient versions of DNN; it's so old that it doesn't even compile in the latest versions of Visual studio. Created by the folks at ventrian, though he's not maintaining it. They definitely support ASP.NET over at TinyMCE, so this shouldn't be too difficult for anyone who wants to create a new version of it; it seems relatively easy, though I'm a terrible coder, so not the person to comment.
