I've been away from DNN for several versions and have just come back to find DNN 9 has been released. However, I've since learned that one of the features I was after for this project has been removed in DNN 9. Subscriptions. Before you could create various subscription Roles and specify a fee (and PayPal settings), so that subscribers could be presented different content based on what level they subscribed to. But it the DNN 9 preview video I just watched, the fee and other related fields have all been removed from Roles.

So for DNN 9, what are the options to achieve the same thing? Third-party modules?  Or is there some other option I'm not aware of?

Henri,

what I found in the tracker (https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow...) is this:

"As part of 9, we removed any payment processing configuration settings with the intention of removing any support from the base Platform for payment processing baked into it (the Evoq products are doing this as well). If being brought back in the future (and not currently on the roadmap) it should be separated out as an independent library that can be optionally installed if so desire and be done as a provider model/connector."

That might be the reason.

Happy DNNing!

But why remove a feature, when you don't have a viable replacement? Doesn't make sense.

Henri,

I am the wrong person to ask. You could leave a comment on the page linked above.
