Hi all,

Currently I am running DNN version 2.1.2

Now I require to upgrade to version 4.3.4.

Can I directly upgrade or I need to first upgrade to 3.x and then to 4.x?

   Kindly suggest.

Is there any help on this scenario?

Is there an expert out there that can help us?

I would suggest upgrading to 3.0.13 first

Always backup everything !!!!!

simply because 2.1.2 => 3.0.13 introduces a breaking change for your modules, you would first off all want to make shure this works. If you only use core modules you shouldn't break a sweat, just follow the guidelines for  the DNN 3.0.13 version. If you have 3th party modules contact those developers first.
This is the part were chances are high it will go wrong.

Don't forget to backup again !!!!

3.x => 4.x is a platform change from ASP.NET 1.1 to ASP.NET 2.0 so you would want to do that in a second stage. This is much better documented then the first stage. Your modules should contineu to work without any upgrades at this point. Follow the official documentation regarding this step.

Backup again, and please keep the backups of your old versions with you

Now you are running DNN4.3.4 with some old modules, at this point you should upgrade every module to the latest version.

There is alot that could go wrong, always have a plan to repair to the previous step, so you can have a second try at it. Please don't try this on your live server. Do it on a development copy of your site at first, expect to ruin many copies of your site before you will know how to do it on your real site.

If you have a small site, I suggest rebuilding it from the ground up on a fresh copy of 4.3.4 just to make shure.
