What's the trick in sending site notifications in html rather than plain text?

I went to the HOST > Languages > Language Editor and pasted a simple html version of the original notification into one of the resource variables.  (I think it was:  EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_PUBLIC_BODY.Text)

It looks like it sends a rich text format or something...

Anyone play with this in DNN 4.3.5?

Cheers!

Is there no one wanting html based notifications in DNN?  Is everyone happy with plain text???

I never really looked into this, but it would be nice. I use the UCanUse module for registration...

3rd party modules aren't an option for something so near the core - I need to make sure that I can update the DNN core in a reasonable time-frame without too many difficulties.

IMHO, plain text notifications for something like DNN is very "under-whelming".  Does anyone know if this is on the roadmap?
