Is there a good place to find documentation on the new features also some creative examples maybe of how people are using it? Im looking for the functional possibilitys.

Not sure what you mean? What do you want to remove? The select view dropdown is only visible to users with edit permissions to the module and offers an easy way to see future and archived items. Why would you want to remove it?

Is it possible to make the view visible for al users?

(and remove the future items from the control)
