Module content import doesn’t work as expected in the case when the content of announcements module is exported from one machine and imported to another machine. The result is failed load of module and exception notification “Object reference not set to an instance of an object“ in log viewer. Export/import on the same machine (or aplication instance) works fine. This is probably a bug, but maybe am I missing something?
DNN version: 4.4.1
Announcements module version: 3.04.00

hmm, are both announcements versions the same on both machines. If the originating module is older, then its a known issue. The import / export was rewritten from scratch, and support for older versions is not built in right now.. (thats an oversight of course).

Ok, I am too busy for now to work with code… I see the problem with ImageSource tag. Without images works export/import as expected. Hope this info helps…

hmm, well, the problem with images is that they cannot be exported by the module itself, so you would have to make sure that the images exist on the target location prior to importing. However, due to the nature dnn works with files, this is kind of difficult to accomplish (ie. the file-ids on the target system will probably point to other files, or might even not exist at all).
