I added an announcements module to our home page. It was working fine. But now, when I try to access the modules's "Settings" using the drop-down menu at the top of the module while logged in as "host," the page simply refreshes, and I never see the settings form for the Announcements module. What gives?

I should mention that, prior to this glitch occurring, I added the same module as an "existing module" to a second page. But then I had trouble with layout. If I moved the module to the right pane on one page, then it would get moved in the other page, too, which is not what I wanted. The next thing I knew, I could no longer move the module around on the home page. So I solved the problem by moving the module to the left pane on the "other" page, which also moved it on the home page, and then I deleted the "other" page. ...but now, like I said, I can't access the module's settings on the home page, and I can't move it to different content panes, either.

Please help, and thanks in advance for any assistance.

could you state what dnn version and module version you are using

Also, this is something i've never seen before. What is your server setup. Did something change on the server? Does the settings option work for other modules on the same page as your ann. module?

Here's my setup details:

DotNetNuke Version: 04.04.01
Announcements Module Version: 03.03.05
.NET Framework Version: 2.0.50727.42
OS Version: Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Service Pack 1, Standard Edition

There have been no recent changes to the server.

I *AM* able to move other modules.

...and for some reason I am now able to move the Announcements module again, too. Could moving the other modules around have jogged something loose and made the Announcements move again? Maybe it was just stuck. :-)
