My RSS feed just went Blank, after I added a copy of the module to another page by using the "add existing module".

Is this a Bug, or is there a work around?

NB: i split this post from another thread, as this is a different subject. Please start new threads if you have new remarks / problems

not sure if it is a bug or if there is a workaround for it. At any rate: the rss feed is generated by the core, not by the module, so if it is a problem, it is a core problem. Can you reproduce this behaviour with other modules (eg. the Links module, or the Text/HTML module, which both also use the core rss feature)? Can you please specify steps to reproduce this exactly?

Also, i need to know a few things:

  • DNN version
  • Module Version
  • Windows type / version
  • browser and browser version

This is a late post, but I am sure it may help someone else.

By design, DNN search doesn't index anything that has an expiration date.

Since Dotnetnuke Syndication uses DNN's search index for RSS... all my announcement RSS went blank after another author set expiration dates on all the annoucements.

So, there you go...
