I've upgraded from DNN 4.3 to 4.5.3. Now when I go to insert an image into a page the "Image Properties" dialog box appears and is missing the "Upload" tab. The only tabs showing are "Image Info", "Link" and "Advanced".

I inherited this site, and FCK was installed about a year ago, not by me. The Provider doesn't show in the list of installed modules. Should it?

The editor version is 2.4.1 build 14797.

Should I install the 1.00.09 provider over the top of what I have?

How can I fix the missing tab?

make sure, you have write permission for the folder displayed. Upload is shown in th upper right corner.

If I click "Browse Server" I can see the folder and I can upload pics to it.

I never had to do that before. There was a tab in "Image Properties" allowing me to upload without taking that extra step.

We disable that option in the last release because it was confusing people. The problem was that people were trying to upload by using that feature (Named Quick Upload) and the quick upload only supports to upload to the root folder. Sometimes the root folder has no permissions for current user and that was the problem.

The option is still there for anyone that want to re-enable it. The only requirement is to know about how it works.

To re-enable it you only need to edit the fckconfig.js file inside the CUSTOM folder. Then set the FCKConfig.ImageUpload to true to allow image uploads or FCKConfig.FlashUpload to enable flash uploads.

Hope it helps
