help!

can i change my dnn url is friendly and easily understandable?

for example

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/ctl/PostEdit/forumid/127/action/new/mid/2108/Default.aspx

 

Like

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/Default.aspx

 

can i change like mentioned above friendly url, its possible?

help!

if i check the friendly url option in the host settings

i see the my site home page url changed like below

http://localhost/qxchange/Home/Tabid/38/Default.aspx

 

But i uncheck the friendly url option in the Host settings i got lik below

http://localhost/qxchange/Default.aspx?tabid=36

 

Now i want my site url like below for friendly and easily understandable

http://localhost/qxchange/home.aspx

 

Now i working in localhost, anyone can help me!

you need to turn on Human Friendly URLs, please read http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1637/Default.aspx

Please note, that some modules like the forums need additional parameters to specify a single Forum, Thread or Post.

help!

i converting my office website "www.qxchange.com" to using the DotNetNuke.

the qxchange site already indexed from some of search engine like google, yahoo, etc....

now i want to use DotNetNuke website to be live.

But, my old site inquiry form url is "http://www.qxchange.com/inquiry.asp"

if i want to use DNN site the inquiry form url is "http://csnsys081/qxchange/Inquiry/tabid/60/Default.aspx", now i working in localhost.

the problem is i want my old site url, because we used the url to our customers.

 

its possible to change the dnn site url as its old site url?

pls help!

I have problem with rewriting url, for e.g

This is the url "http://www.tooeasy.com.au/venkatesan_iyer..aspx -- It wont work.

Can you please any one let me know manage this problem ?
