Dave Buckner wrote

In the file Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\Custom\fckconfig.js
Change FCKConfig.HtmlEncodeOutput = true ;
To
FCKConfig.HtmlEncodeOutput = false ;

This fix worked for me - thanks Dave!

Provider version 02.00.03 has now an option to enable/disable the .htmlencodeoutput per module or per instance. This was included as a workaround.

The proble is that the profile system does not execute some code after postbacks. As far as I know, charles already fixed it in DNN 5. For DNN 4.5.x you will have to use the 2.0.3 version of the provider and manually set the option in the profile.

Hope it helps

Hi there, I read this post as I have the same problem, but i have not got anywhere (i am using DNN 04.09.00)

You are mentionning DNN5; has it been released yet, as it's not in the download page?

Also, my version of Text/HTML is 04.08.01, are you saying that I should look for the version 2.0.3 to be able to fix it?

Finally, in fckconfig.js, FCKConfig.HtmlEncodeOutput = false ; is already there, so this cannot be updated.

I am sorry if I'm asking obvious questions, but I am quite new to DNN.

Thanks a lot, Thomas

Just for the information, I noticed that the dotnetnuke website actually has the same problem (your account > manage profile > biography)
