I installed DNN 4.9.0 this morning and I discovered a little problem in Account Editor.

1 / Go on Biography from your profile. Edit it and erase all the text

2 / Save your profile on "Manage Profile"

3 / Look again on Biography, you should see "<p>&#160;</p>"

4 / Save

5 / Look again... you'll see "<p>&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;</p>"

I don't know if the problem comes from DNN or Fck Editor. Please Notify me if somebody have the same problem.

NB: the fck works correctly on others modules.

there seems to be a htmlencode happening, obviously user profile control does handle the editor different from modules. please log this bug into the public issue tracker at support.dotnetnuke.com.

In the file Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\Custom\fckconfig.js
Change FCKConfig.HtmlEncodeOutput = true ;
To
FCKConfig.HtmlEncodeOutput = false ;

Save,
Close your browser to dump the cache and try again.

Cheers,
Dave
