Hello,

I have a 04.09.00 DNN application with several modules using the native FckEditor. I copied the site in its entirety from a development server, and everything seems to work fine except for the FckEditor.

When I open a module window that uses the FCK, such as an HTML window, the window will work fine in the "Basic Text Box version". However, when I switch to "Rich Text Editor" the editing window displays a 404 page error message one would expect to see on a web page - i.e. "The page cannot be foundThe page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable".

The web page itself still is intact, and other features in the Edit module (such as Search Summary) still appear fine, it is only the space occupied by the Rich Text Edit box itself that displays the "no webpage here" message.

The "DotNetNuke.FckHtmlEditorProvider.dll" appears in the /webroot/home/bin folder. I copied this .dll from the working development site on top of the .dll in the malfunctioning site, in case the .dll had become corrupted, but this doesn't seem to have had any effect.

Thank you very much for any help or advice!

How odd... the forum FCK editor split my post up.... it begins with "Hello" and ends with "Thank you"... :-?

It looks fine now, after I removed the blank < td > line in the middle :)

Basic Text box is not part of FCKEditor ot the Fckeditor provider, but of texteditor control.

I assume, you are missing files of the fckeditor provider. Easiest fix would be an upgrade to DNN 4.9.4, which is also advisable for security reasons.
