I am in need of some help when it comes to adding Host Wide menus to the DNN navigation bar. These new menu entries cannot affect the ability to upgrade DNN to future realeases so it can't be a 'hack' in the DNN source.

Here is an example, I have a user other than Host and Administrator, lets call it "Assistant". This new role has specific things they can do in the portal which are not related to the host or the administrator. Because of this I need to be able to create a custom menu for this user type. This menu needs to be visible when the Host, Administrator or Assistant are logged in but of course the it is the only one visible when the Assistant is logged in (i.e. the assistant cannot see the host or administrator menus when logged in). This role needs to be available accross all portals created in the DNN installation it cannot be specific to a portal.

Here is another example, for this particular DNN installation there are several utility modules which have been installed and are available to all portals. I need to be able to add a new Host wide (available to all portals by default) menu entry to the DNN menu which will contain entries to control and manage settings for each of the utility modules.

Let me know if these examples are not clear enough and I will attempted to come up with something better.
