Hi,

Anyone know a good tutorial / walkthrough on creating your own menu for your skin?

From what I've seen, it will be a matter of creating something like admin/skins/nav , but not sure how to go ahead.
Would that be a custom module (calling making some dnn api call to get a hierachy of pages and build up a list with classes), etc.

Reason asking is that I do no have much time for designing and end up buying html templates.
In order to do this, the menu will have to be rendered exactly the way I need it to (which always is very standard html markup....ul wi li's with a's).  Css does the rest.

DDR Menu is fully templatable and should allow you to create what you want.
If you want to create a menu skin object, that's not too difficult, as a very simple example take a look at the Links skin object.

Hi,

Yep, I read about that after posting, and tried it out.
Could not get it working though (just "An Error Occured")
Probably some small mistake on my part, so I downloaded some vids on DNNCreative and plan to go over the whole thing tonight. (The wiki is a bit full of gaps for a dnn noob like me)
