I'm guessing this is a known issue since I've seen several posts about it related to DNN 4.4.1.  The situation is that I've hosted a 33MB Powerpoint file (don't ask) and I can only successfully download around 20MB of it before the download just breaks and then I'm left with a corrupt file.  In reading the various DNN 4.4.1 threads on this, there seems to be a temporary fix available which is to turn off compression and some type of whitespace setting.  I've scoured the Host Settings on 4.3.5 and can't locate either of these settings (I'm assuming it's because they don't exist in 4.3.5).  If that's the case, is there a workaround for getting these files to work properly on 4.3.5.  FWIW - I can properly download files from my site if I host them outside of the DNN/Documents module.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Shawn

You might look at modifying the httpRuntime configuration items to bump up the request/response size, as well as the timeout for a request.

Mitchel,

Thanks for the reply.  Being a DNN newbie, I have no idea where these configuration settings are.  Where would I find these things?  Are they web.config settings?

Thanks.

Shawn,

Yes, those settings are in the web config, it is an element named <httpRuntime and has many attributes within it.
