I searched the forum on this issue, and tried the suggested fix - to no avail.

I am trying to create a document page with doc modules laid out side by side - with the page split in half, left pane and content pane set to fixed width 50/50.  Seems like a simple layout that most people would try to attain.

We've created a page skin with the left pane and content pane set to fixed width 470 px by 470 px, and we've set the documents module columns to fixed width within the module container.  But the doc columns (name/description/etc.) are "ignoring" the set widths, and the page is "ignoring" the set widths of the panes.  The left pane never runs past around 120 pixels, and the content pane takes up the rest.  The columns in the doc modules vary module by module as they're laid out down the page - which is not what I want.

What are we doing wrong?  Please let me know if I need to provide any other details.

Thanks in advance,
Carl
