I am trying to move the content of a DotNetNuke site to a plain HTML site. I downloaded the entire DNN site (I think) to my PC. The owner of the site then changed the DNS to point to the new site, so I can't copy/paste (mistake, I know :) My question is, where is the most recent page content stored? I can see some old pages but cannot find the newest changes. I have restored the .bak backup data to MS SQL Server so I have access to the database. Thanks very much for any help. - Brad

there is no page content stored - only module content in the module tables of the database. Which DNN version are you running?

Thanks for the quick reply! I do not know the version. It is probably at least 2 or 3 years behind. If you know the table name for the module content I think that is all I will need. - Brad

Each module has their own tables, settings, etc. Some module developers use a standard naming convention (e.g. the repository module puts grm infront of all the table names). You would have to look in the db for tables that you think might be a match. The data is not stored in .html or .asp files like you're probably used to so it will be harder to migrate the site. Don't know if there are any tools out there to do it, and I don't know how you would even start since dnn uses skins to contorl the page layouts. Maybe go page by page and copy content out manually to create new html pages???

I found the version number - 1.3.1.0 10/24/2005 :)  I also found a table in the database called HTMLText. It appears that the module content is in this table. Thanks to you both for getting me pointed (no pun intended) in the right direction! - Brad
