Hi am a newbie with DNN and i get this when i try installation on my localhost IIS server:

No http handler was found for request type 'GET'

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Compare your web.config against the release.config. I suspect your web.config has missing sections. The config files are under the DNN root folder.

this can happen if you're trying to use DotNetNuke as a virtual directory when the root already has an asp.net application as the root (as asp.net web.config files are inherited). You can run this configuration, but it takes some additional work - see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/108/threadid/15438/scope/posts/Default.aspx or http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2088400/setting-up-separate-asp-net-app-with-dotnetnuke for tips
