Hi,

I'm writing a custom module which saves users' data to database. I wonder what DNN user parameter I could use as row identifier. User name would be perfect, but I'm not sure if it's safe, i.e. if this can't be changed and what the maximum length is. Could you please advise on that?

Best regards,

Mark

Although the DotNetNuke Username cannot be changed and could be used to identify table data belonging to a particular user, the standard practice is to use the integer UserID instead as it can be more easily and efficiently used to create joins on the DotNetNuke Users and other core tables.
