Hi There!

I get the above trying to setup DotNetNuke in VWD with SQLServer Mgt Studio 2008 R2 running:

Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 10.50.1600.1
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 6.1.7600.16385
Microsoft MSXML 3.0 4.0 6.0 
Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0.8080.16413
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.50727.4952
Operating System 6.1.7600

Any ideas???

you need to make sure, you have access to the database. You cannot use Express syntax and SQL Server and client need to be configured to use TCP/IP
