Good Monday morning (or afternoon) to everyone!

I am having the same recurring problem every time I try to use the database publishing wizard that is part of SQL Server Management Studio in order to publish the database to my GoDaddy site.

It spends quite a while dropping tables and every time it gets to dbo.aspnet_Users I get the following error and everything comes to a sudden stop:

"An error occurred while trying to publish the following script:IF EXISTS(Select*FROM sys.objects WHERE_id = OBJECT_ID(N'[dbo].[aspnet_Users]') AND type in (N'U'))
DROP TABLE [dbo.[aspnet_Users]

Additional information:
could not drop object 'dbo.aspnet_Users' because it is referenced by a FOREIGN KEY constraint.
    (System.Web.Services)"

Thank you in advance for any help you guys can offer!

Sam

it looks like the database publishing wizard is not the proper tool for publishing your database. Either use DNN Enterprise Edition with Content Staging support (5000 USD/a), copy databases yourself or use a backup tool like from Evotiva.com

The database permissions on a godaddy site do not allow this sort of publish option to work.

well I finally got it to work for the most part. godaddy does allow the publishing wizard but only with sql 2005, not 2008, and you have to take out the users and roles and not publish them.

Having some other issues but will make a new post on it since it is a different topic alltogether.

Thanks guys!
