Hi all,

I am very new to the world of DNN, and I am looking after a site that has been running for over a year without any issues.

However, we can no longer edit the home.aspx page. (Editing any other page is fine). I have checked the permissions for the home page and admin has the correct editing permissions.

Any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated, as this is becomming a big issue for us as we are unable to update any new announcements for our students.

Regards

Ron

Please describe what happens or does not happen when you try to edit the home page - no action menu edit command, error message when clicking on edit content or when saving changes, application crash, change does not save, etc.

Is the problem affecting only Text/Html modules or other modules on the home page?

Please check the Admin --> Event Viewer for any related errors that may be logged and post your findings to this thread.

What version of DotNetNuke is installed? Check the Host --> Host Settings or Host --> Dashboard to find out.

Thank you for the response. below is the information that may help:

When editing ANY module on the homepage, the status bar show the following :
__doPostBack('dnn$ctr554$dnnACTIONBUTTON1$ctl00$ctl00$ctl01',''). This is also the same if I click the edit settings icon

In fact even clicking any of the admin functions on the top of page results in nothing happening. i.e. when I click Site, User or Role nothing happens. Any operation is ignored for the home page. All other paages are fine

The last few messages on the event log are
