can some one suggest me how i can mask the URL in DNN 6.0.0

currently i have installed DNN in sample folder so i need to browse www.abcdef.com/sample for my home page which i dont want. i wasnt to browse www.abcdef.com only. please suggest.

you can use the optional hostheader value for this - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/HostHeader.aspx

Avancs: URL masking is broken as of DNN 6 and DNN 7. I have a current site actively using that parameter in DNN 5 and hosted at GoDaddy.

Please follow the parent thread at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F... which promised that the issue would be fixed in DNN 6. The key issue is that the older HostHeader parameter in web.config was already working and operational, and somehow now conflicts with the Canonical and Redirect parameter settings in advanced admin options in DNN 6 and DNN 7. I made a note on this conflict with the typical path that professional developers use to solve such issues: make the new feature in admin settings work with the older already-established HostHeader parameter.
