Hi DNNs,

I am Sachin, college graduate, new to DNN. I want to know that can I use Web Services and Object model functionality in DNN? In my project I have to use various web services. Can anybody tell me how to use web services in DNN ?

The answer depends .. there's 2 completely different answers depending on what you mean..

1) do you want to develop a custom DotNetNuke module, and from that module make calls to external web services that are not part of your module?

or

2) do you want to develop a custom DotNetNuke module, and expose some of your module's data and/or functionality to external client applications?

Firstly many thanks for reply.

I want to customize any  free template to use web services in it as like in asp.net.

I am not sure, how to add it in DNN template.

Can you tell me , how I add reference to web service to call it's method?
