I am having trouble getting text to wrap to fit the space in which I want it contained.  Is there a way to set my content page so that the text does not crowd or overrun information that is in the right pane?

I looked at the HTML, but that still a bit of a haystack for me and i couldn't find the "needle".

Also, I know that somewhere I saw an article on best practices with text, and another on what not to do when writing text.  Can someone direct me to those articles, or weren't they on this site?  (maybe dnncreative??)

there are a number of ways - but the easiest is to flick into html mode and wrap your content with a fioxed width table e.g.
...etc.

You might look into the editor js settings. many settings reside there.
