Hi,

I am evaluateing CMS's for a Web project I will be working on at work and I was told by someone that the DotNetNuke Community edition cannot be used for the Canadian Government website. Does anyone know if this is true? I read on this site that many government departments are using DotNetNuke but I'm not sure if it's the Community edition or not. If it is allowed, do you have to display the DNN logo on the site?

Thanks

there is no technical reason for this, the only thing I can think of, is product copyright indemnification.

I believe that is incorrect -lots of canadan govt organisations use dotnetnuke (including langley where our engineering headquarters is) - you can view some of them at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/598235/deploying-dotnetnuke-and-separate-asp-net-application-together-possible-issues . From time to time we have government organisations who cannot use us until they have a resp0onse to a security audit - but if this is the case please email security@dotnetnuke.com and we would be happy to provide any assurances you need that dotnetnuke is secure.
